Project Description:

Strategic Computing Center (SCC)

Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM

Scope of Work

Vigil Enterprises has managed and designed numerous projects for the continued build-out of the Nicholas C. Metropolis Center for Modeling and Simulation also known as the Strategic Computing Complex (SCC) as mission needs have changed and expanded. This facility houses the world's most complex computer (the first hybrid supercomputer and the first supercomputer to attain a sustained petaflop operations/second in a specially designed 43,500SF computer room).  Vigil Enterprises has served as the prime A-E firm on very complex design projects to support the growing needs of this facility.  We provide project management and design for the major infrastructure upgrades projects to support the supercomputer platforms helping NNSA “ensure the safety, security, and effectiveness of the nuclear stockpile while maintaining the moratorium on testing.”
